More playing opportunities for Belhus juniors revealed
October 06, 2006Belhus Cricket Club, has, for the first time, elected a Saturday fourth eleven captain and is organising a pre-arranged list of fixtures as the club aims to provide even more regular cricket for its members during the 2007 season. A programme of approximately 12 fixtures is being arranged by Fixture Secretary Fred Taylor during a period of the season when it is felt that availability will be at its highest. The team will be captained by Cliff Cansdale with Paul Whitlock as vice-captain. Cliff Cansdale said: "This presents a good opportunity for a greater number of junior members to learn more about the game in a fun environment without the pressure of league cricket. I am sure it will be thoroughly enjoyable for adults too and I am sure we have a good fixture list with similar strength teams".
