Belhus lost their first South Essex U13 cricket league match when they entertained Wickford at North Stifford. Joshua Sloane strucjk a fine undefeated 29 for the visitors despite the best efforts of Owen Jefferies and Craig Vickers with 2-10 and 2-11 respectively. After the break, Jefferies completed a fine all-round performance with 25 not out and he was supported well by Jack Pantelli with 19 and Callum Thomas chipped in with an undefeated 13. However, Josh Cullen and Casper Everett ensured that the Wickford score was not going to be beaten as Cullen returned figures of 2-12 from four overs and Everett ended with 2-20, also from four overs (one maiden).
