U13s: Timber! Wood Chops Down Rayleigh
July 01, 2008Belhus U13 124 all out
Rayleigh U13 90-9
Tom Wood put in a superb all-round performance as Belhus kept their undefeated run going in the South Essex Youth Cricket League at Rawreth Lane recreation ground. Wood scored 26 until being retired under conpetition rules and then followed that up with 2-6 from four overs (one maiden). In support of Wood with the bat were Harry Levy with 19 and Ryan Wells with 14. Belhus made sure they defended their total as Owen Jefferies took 2-12 from four overs and Tony Ellis bagged 2-19 from three overs. Although there was good home resistance from Christian Humphries with 16, Nathan Healey, 12 and Lloyd Sabatini with 10, keen fielding and good catches from Harry Turner, Levy and Jefferies kept the lid on the Rayleigh reply. Wells continued his good work behind the timbers with a stumping.
