Sat 3's Win at Old Cofeians

Belhus travelled to Old Corfeians in Lewisham, and decided to put the opposition into bat. Belhus dominated the early proceedings putting pressure on the OC top order with some terrific line and length bowling from Connor Day ending up with 10 overs for 30 runs, and Darren Wells with a great spell of 14 overs for 30 runs, taking 2 wickets. The first change bowler Mike Anderson 14 overs for 2 wickets finally made the breakthrough forcing Frenshaw to nick one through to the keeper. Belhus continued to put the pressure on until Moir 78 Not Out who started very cautiously began to get his eye in, and a few wickets later accompanied by Aoulphe 38 finished up with a respectable 168 for 5 wickets from their 40 overs.
Belhus replied with Barry Ruck 28 runs, and Darren Frampton 34 runs creating a solid foundation. Upon losing their first wicket on 73 Alex Jennings 23 runs came to the crease, and swiftly moved the score onto 108 off of 27 overs. Just as Belhus were starting to look as if it was a simple run chase the wickets started to fall, and if not for the calm headed youngsters Ben Palmer with 12, and Daniel Dreher with 21 Not Out it may have been a disappointing finale. Belhus eventually won a very tight game in the very last over with Daniel Dreher playing a majestic cover drive for four.
